Working exclusively in B2B SaaS, I've led sales and marketing teams, created two businesses from scratch, and achieved significant exits.
I’m relentlessly fixated on value creation, I love finding gaps in a market and creating products and initiatives that ignite the imagination of a target audience.
My objective is to always leave a market in a better place than I found it. Where many that appear to dominate an industry focus on value extraction, I focus on value creation. This empathetic approach leads to better products and happier customers that, in turn, become the growth engine for the business.
In 2016, I joined two others as one of the founding team of ContentCal, a social media marketing SaaS product. Over the course of five years, we raised over $10m, grew to be used by multiple thousands of customers in over 100 countries, won numerous awards, and, at the end of 2021 were acquired by Adobe Inc.

April 2020: Closed a £2.5 million funding round with Fuel Ventures
February 2021: Doubled revenues YoY and Closed a $6.5m Series A funding round

Having been responsible for creating and scaling all commercial elements of the business from founding in 2016 through to sale in 2021, here's a snapshot of some key achievements
Created the core business functions including the Go-to-Market strategy, the sales and customer expansion process, the product marketing function, our award-winning approach to customer service, and our internal and external-facing content marketing education programs.
Advised on product direction based on customer and market feedback, creating some of our users' most-loved features.
Created and developed new partnerships both from a go-to-market and technical perspective, the top two of which have been the largest contributors of revenue for the business.
Pioneered our educational content, becoming known in the market for our content marketing expertise. Our educational initiatives deliver over 30,000 new leads per year and contribute over 50% of our customer base every year.
Created the ContentCal webinar series, attracting an average of over 500 registrations per webinar and growing webinar leads 174% from 2020 to 2021.
Created the ‘ContentCal Academy’ in which over 4,000 individuals have completed their content marketing accreditation.

Outside of running technology businesses, my other passions are music and motorsport. In 2008, as part of the band Pitchblend, we released our album 'Lines of Unreason'. We achieved major press and TV coverage. I'm also a National B Motorsport Licence holder.
